Long Time Between Drinks for Barbarians Against NZ

When the Barbarians beat New Zealand last week, it was significant not only because it blemished the All Blacks’ otherwise-unbeaten tour through Europe, but because it broke an extremely long losing streak for the invitational side against the Antipodeans.  The win was the Barbarians’ first against the All Blacks since their classic match in 1973.  (Although it should bears mentioning that the All Blacks fielded a side that was less than full-strength.) 

The Barbarians enjoy a rich history, and this match contributed to it.  Led by Bryan Habana’s hat-trick of tries, the match offered a lively exception to the conservative tactics that are currently popular in the sport.  Have a look at the clips below to see the best moments from the latest chapter in the Barbarian tradition:
